About Me

Hi, I’m Oloff
I’m a User Experience (UX) Researcher and Strategist in the LX Labs consulting team at Onlea. Here, I apply human-centered methods in uncovering audience needs, prototyping solutions, and evaluating experiences. I bring a diverse skillset in UX and technical research, working with internal teams and clients across diverse sectors, including healthcare, higher education, and nonprofit. I take pride in engaging audience members and other interest holders to synthesize actionable insights and recommendations leading to solution design driven by a holistic understanding of interconnected audience attitudes, goals and behaviour in existing systems. My work has informed strongly impactful solutions, improving audience sentiment and building long-term engagement, both in emerging and existing ecosystems.
I hold a master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia (UBC) where I was supervised by Dongwook Yoon. As a graduate researcher, I was part of the Multimodal User Experience group within Imager, as well as the Designing for People (DFP) research cluster. My past research focuses on human-computer interaction (HCI) and digitally mediated communication. Within these areas, I have conducted user studies which involve gathering and analyzing a mix of qualitative and quantitative data to synthesize user insights and evaluate prototypes. This work has advanced AI-assisted creativity support, particularly by revealing how AI writing tools should align with writers’ personal values and practices.
