UX Researcher and Strategist with a background in human-centered design, human-AI interaction and software engineering

Hi, I’m Oloff

I’m a User Experience (UX) Researcher in the LX Labs consulting team at Onlea. Here, I apply human-centered methods in uncovering audience needs, prototyping solutions, and evaluating experiences. I bring a broad skillset in UX and technical research, working with internal teams and clients across diverse sectors, including healthcare, real estate, higher education, and nonprofit. I take pride in engaging users and other interest holders to provide actionable insights and recommendations leading to solution design driven by a holistic understanding of interconnected user attitudes, goals and behaviour. My work drives strongly impactful solutions, improving user sentiment and building ongoing engagement.

I hold a master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia (UBC) where I was supervised by Dongwook Yoon. As an assistant researcher at UBC, I was part of the Multimodal User Experience group within Imager, as well as the Designing for People (DFP) research cluster. My past applied research focuses on human-computer interaction (HCI) and AI-supported work. Within this space, I developed prototypes and conducted user studies which involved gathering and analyzing a mix of qualitative and quantitative data to synthesize user insights and evaluate experiences in AI-augmented systems. This work has advanced AI-assisted creativity support, particularly by revealing how AI agents should align with users’ personal values and practices.
